  284. obtrusive than some other SLIP/CSLIP drivers so that 
  285. the machine loses fewer clock ticks. The result is 
  286. that the clock stays more accurate. SLIP/CSLIP operation 
  287. is supported at up to 57.6 Kbps on a 486. CSLIPPER is a 
  288. version which supports Van Jacobson header compression.

  318. if you are only using a single DOS TCP/IP application 
  319. under Windows, use WINPKT instead, since it takes less 
  320. memory and is faster.

  444. This is a a demonstration version of the NetManage Chameleon 
  445. TCP/IP stack. Quoting from the install instructions:
  446. To install the software, copy each .zip file onto a 
  447. separate floppy. Insert diskette #1 into drive A: 
  448. type win a:setup (assuming you have the installation 
  449. floppy in the A drive).  You will be prompted for all 
  450. the other relevant information (i.e. adapter type, IP 
  451. address, subnetmask, etc.).  You can use Custom to 
  452. configure some optional information (i.e. default 
  453. gateway, DNS server, etc.). During the installation 
  454. you will be prompted for a serial number. The valid 
  455. serial number is DEMO_520045343970001, and the Key is F39B.
  456. The included software is only valid for 30 days from 
  457. March 3, 1994.  So, some time in April you'll get a 
  458. license violation message, at which time you are 
  459. supposed to run out and purchase a legal copy (we 
  460. will not object to purchases prior to the expiration day).
  461. The winsock.dll provided in this release is compatible 
  462. with the Windows Sockets version 1.1 specification.
